The Town of Ramsgate is a historic pub in Wapping with its distinctive ship-like shape. Its history dates back to the 17th century and beyond, and it was the spot where James IIs’ notorious Hanging Judge was captured.

Today, things are much more cordial. Stop by the Town of Ramsgate to enjoy a few bevvies on the river. And make sure you hang around for one of their beef burgers, especially as the pub has built a reputation for cooking succulent prime patties.

There’s a lot to unpack at Trade Union. Fortunately, it’s all good stuff. This huge warehouse space is your one-stop-shop for everything, including a barber, florist selling a wide range of flowers, and a slide. Yes, that’s a right: a slide. The venue certainly ticks all the fun and funky boxes and is a great way to spend some leisurely time.

Trade Union also has its own Great Harlot Club, though you may find it hard to pull yourself away from the slide. This is a venue with plenty of character, that veers on the side of zany. Even if you’re just stopping by for a pizza or doing a spot of gin tasting.
